About 6.4 percent of Ugandans are HIV positive and the country is home to a large population of AIDS orphans. Many orphans become "street children". Not able to afford schooling, these kids spend the day along roads looking for handouts. A program near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park helps find housing for these children, pays for their school, and teaches them traditional songs, dances, handicrafts, and arts.Uganda index | next image
